Christmas at Southbank Centre
In addition to our usual reception spaces at Southbank Centre, we have 3 spaces specially available at Christmas this year during the week commencing 15 December 2008.
Upstairs at the Hayward

Providing an outstanding blank canvas setting, the upper galleries at the Hayward Gallery can accommodate 600 standing, or 290 seated. With it’s own dedicated entrance directly from Belvedere Road, this space consists of two gallery space connected by a wide corridor, plus access to 3 outside courtyards. The larger gallery is over 280m2 and has a 4.5m high ceiling, so you can let your imagination run wild!
This is a rare opportunity to use this iconic building for events.

Clore Ballroom

At over 600 square metres, the Clore Ballroom in the Royal Festival Hall is one of the largest ballrooms in the UK and presents flexible opportunities for both seated dinners and standing receptions. Using the Southbank Centre Square Doors, which were the original main entrance to the Royal Festival Hall building, your guests would pass through the large cloakroom lobby before heading onto the ballroom for ‘the main event’. With capacities of up to 900 standing, or 450 seated, the space is excellently appointed with AV/production facilities and can accommodate a large stage and raised seating areas.
