Shlomo | Southbank Centre.
Shlomo has just commenced a year-long residency at Southbank Centre. He is one of the country's finest human beatboxers, which means he can recreate entire songs using only his vocal chords. However his new full show takes beatboxing to the next level, with Shlomo playing the drums and beatboxing at the same time, as well as performing his own original material beatboxing into a loop sampler.
Shlomo's remarkable ability to vocally recreate all manner of sounds, including complex hip hop, trance, drum and bass and world beats, regularly wows crowds in his home town of Leeds and in clubs all over the UK.
Working with Icelandic superstar Björk has put him firmly on the map for international stardom. He features on Oceania, the Grammy-nominated tune that appears on her all-vocal album Medulla. The tune was performed at the Olympics opening ceremony in Athens, which was broadcast to 4.5 billion people, making Shlomo the most heard beatboxer in history.
