A day of talks and discussions on Messiaen's piano music, with contributions from pianists Peter Hill and Pierre-Laurant
Aimard, concluding with a round-table discussion chaired by Roderick Chadwick. There are two sessions of three 30-minute presentations,
including performance (if appropriate), questions and discussion, chaired by David Gorton. The theme for the symposium is
specifically practice-based, with papers being selected on the strength of the research questions posed in the area of Messiaen's
piano music. The symposium is free to attend and fully open to the public with no need to register.
