Chorus

Chorus at Southbank Centre is a new festival devoted to the life-enhancing activity of choral singing. Since the launch of Voicelab in February 2007, directed by Mary King, Southbank Centre has become the focus for singers from every background and singing of every kind, whether it be classical, jazz, pop, gospel or beatboxing. Chorus features some of the finest professional and non-professional choral groups in the UK, including Associate Artists The Sixteen and Southbank Centre's own Voicelab choirs, and gives everyone the opportunity to participate. From Vaughan Williams to a capella music, from nightly choral clubs and karaoke to mass singing on The Clore Ballroom, this is a celebration of the human voice and the sheer joy of singing.
