Ether
Ether is a festival of art and technology that places a strong emphasis on cutting-edge collaborations and visual culture. This year's festival features performances by Goldfrapp, Current 93 with Baby Dee and Harmonia, who bring a mix of experimental new work and a brace of suitably strange collaborations to Southbank Centre. Pere Ubu join forces with stop-animators Brothers Quay to produce a new interpretation of Alfred Jarry's Ubu Roi. Radiosoulwax transform the Royal Festival Hall into a club space featuring DJs, live music and film screenings for one night only. The festival ends with the world premiere of a collaboration between composer Thomas Ades and video artist Tal Rosner, which has been specially commissioned for the London Sinfonietta, one of Southbank Centre's Resident Orchestras.
