Writing from the Frontline
Writing from the Frontline is a new series in Southbank Centre's Literature and Spoken Word programme, which explores contemporary reportage and non-fiction. Robert Fisk, one of the UK's most distinguished correspondents headlines the new series and is joined by Christina Lamb and Ronan Bennett to discuss the conflict in Iraq, five years since the Allied occupation. Matthew Green discusses his search for the elusive rebel leader of the Ugandan Lord's Resistance Army, and Elizabeth Pisani, Polly Clayden and Corinne Squire discuss HIV/AIDS and the consequences of scientific illiteracy within the media and public at large.
