This sculpture is currently at Southbank Centre.

The work of Danish artist Jeppe Hein (born 1974) often combines sculpture with architecture and technology to playfully solicit the viewer's direct participation. Hein's aquatic sculpture ‘Appearing Rooms’ was originally commissioned for the garden of the Villa Manin, Italy.

‘Appearing Rooms’ was first installed at Southbank Centre from 8 June - 16 September 2007 and returned from 1 July - 28 September 2008, 1 July - 26 September 2009 and again during the summers of 2010, 2011 and 2013.
