The Tony Wilson Interviews

Purcell Room

The writer and critic Paul Morley talks live to some of those who knew and worked with Anthony H Wilson, the provocative broadcaster, entrepreneur and cultural philosopher who was part of the surreal northern collective that founded Factory Records and the Hacienda. With music from longtime Tony Wilson ally and poet of the guitar Vini Reilly, aka The Durutti Column.

Paul Morley is in conversation with Richard Boon and Mike Garry and the event features a performance from Vini Reilly and Poppy Morgan. Extracts from a film by Carol Morley, who filmed Anthony H Wilson in Manchester in 2005, is also shown. The film contains some strong language, and parental guidance is recommended.
