Yevgeny Sudbin piano
This young Russian pianist has been lauded worldwide for his sensitivity, originality and imagination. The programme for his International Piano Series debut recital places an all-Chopin first half in glittering context with a tribute to Chopin by the marvellous Ronald Stevenson (b.1928) and Ravel's beautifully evocative 'Gaspard de la Nuit'.
'Potentially one of the greatest pianists of the 21st century' (Daily Telegraph).
Queen Elizabeth Hall at 6.15pm - The Spirit of Improvisation, a pre-concert talk by Jim Samson. Admission free.
