Bloom 2010

Members Bar, Royal Festival Hall, 7pm – 9pm

Lovers of beautiful design are invited to join us for the launch of Bloom 2010 – a showcase of new works that have come out of the collaboration between Southbank Centre and London's creative hotbed, Cockpit Arts.

Inspired by Southbank Centre's architecture, history and arts programme, six designer-makers have created new products to be sold in Southbank Centre shops. These include a range of stationery inspired by the original 1951 Festival of Britain catalogue, jewellery, ceramics and glassware.

Each designer is giving a talk about their work, and Members will have the opportunity to meet them and be the first to buy the designs – with a 20% discount only available on the evening. At the same time, meet fellow Members and enjoy a drink on us while taking in the beautiful view over the Thames.

MEMBERS' EASTERN DELIGHT WORKSHOP

Join your fellow Members to learn about Chinese teas, their health benefits and the different tastes with luxury Chinese tea specialists Choi Time, hailed as the don perignon of the tea world by The Sunday Times and stocked in retailers like Selfridges and Harrods. Then meet Your Thai Chef Brett Cowie, who will teach you how to make your own betel leaf parcels to compliment Choi Times's jasmine green tea Pearls.

Please note that the betel leaf parcels will contain cashew nuts.
