The Bach Choir's annual tradition of performing Bach's St Matthew Passion in English dates back to 1930, and today's
audiences continue to appreciate the relevance and immediacy of the performances. The Choir performs with Florilegium, one
of Britain's most outstanding period instrument ensembles, and soloists James Gilchrist and the outstanding counter-tenor,
Robin Blaze.
There is an interval of approximately 45 minutes between Part 1 and Part 2.
