Filming & Photography

Southbank Centre offers a fantastic location for both filming and stills photography with views of the London Eye, Westminster and along the River Thames.
We manage the Queen’s Walk, which runs alongside the River Thames, from the London Eye to the National Theatre, and the areas between this section of Queen’s Walk and Belvedere Road. This includes Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, Hayward Gallery and surrounding walkways.

Location Filming & Photography

There is a huge variety of spaces and backdrops falling within our jurisdiction, from Brutalist concrete to 1950s design and river views. Please contact us about shoots both inside our buildings, and in the external areas.
Before filming or photoshoots can be confirmed, clients must supply the following information:
Copy of public liability insurance; generally this should be to £10m, but for small shoots £5m may be acceptable.
A full risk assessment for the shoot.
The full location fee must be paid in full before the shoot date.
The process of assessing your application and completing/obtaining the relevant paperwork can take a number of days.  You are therefore advised to submit your enquiry with as much notice as possible.
For further queries, please contact the Southbank Centre events team on: 020 7921 0702
