The Joy Formidable

Part of Robert Smith’s Meltdown

Welsh trio The Joy Formidable play an exciting set at Meltdown, with support from the dreamy indie pop of Kidsmoke.

The Joy Formidable are Ritzy Bryan, Rhydian Dafydd and Matthew Thomas. The Welsh alternative rock band formed in 2007 in North Wales.

Dispelling any notion of a relaxed summer tour, the group are set for an exciting return to festival stages across the United States, the UK and Europe with their signature of visceral and kinetic performances that are their namesake.

Fans can expect to hear a sneak preview of some new material from the band’s forthcoming album, tipped to be their most vibrant and experimental yet.

A full worldwide tour follows, and the album is set to be released in the autumn of 2018.
