Southbank Centre once again ushers in the New Year with the spectacular Vintage New Year’s Eve Party.

Royal Festival Hall transforms into five floors of set-dressed entertainment including seven pop-up Vintage nightclubs, stylish dining, a hair and beauty salon, photo studios and a private terrace overlooking the Thames from which to view London's world-famous NYE fireworks*.

Here's a taste of what to expect:

The Torch Club
Join us at The Torch Club for an evening of entertainment inspired by the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s. Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm present their authentic swing orchestra and Sweden’s Big Papa Mac brings the rhythm and blues, early rock and doo-wop. In addition, Hoc and Mark take you through the steps of light-hearted period party dances like the 'Lambeth Walk'. After midnight, The Clore Ballroom transforms into a Cabaret Club featuring intimate tables with table service and more live performances and dance lessons, plus the sultry Señorita Scarlett.

The Torch Club Dining Rooms
You can dine in style this New Year’s Eve with a three-course themed meal, to enjoy while watching the entertainment taking place in The Torch Club. Dinner and drinks are served in a seating area that includes a dedicated bar and is reserved for you and your friends to enjoy all night long.

Pick Up Joint
This year at The Pick Up Joint think ‘Vintage Circus’. Dust off your top hats and spangly tutus, chuck on a ton of animal print, add a hula hoop (taking inspiration from Betty Page and Giffords Circus) and get ready to bust some moves. Sing your heart out and spin to win with London's longest running alternative karaoke, Hot Breath Karaoke, and see in the new year while the inimitable Anna Greenwood spins tunes throughout the night. Come join the circus!

Anyone who’s up for letting their hair down can enjoy outrageous fun, sing-a-longs and unashamed dancing, to pop hits that you just shouldn't love, in our kitsch-themed bar.

The Warehouse
This space honours Britain’s distinctive dance culture while joining the dots between the eccentric fashions, performance art and eclectic music of the original 1980s warehouse scene. Travel from the flamboyance of the New Romantics to the ‘Hard Times’ ethic via bebop berets, zoot suits and Acid House smiley culture.

Controlling the decks are pioneer of UK dance culture Ashey Beedle, legendary party connoisseur Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, and founder members of British sound system institution Trojan Sound System, Earl Gateshead & Daddy Ad.

Expect a playlist ranging from Kid Creole and Tom Tom Club to Soft Cell and Depeche Mode, culminating in a full-on hands-in-the-air rave.

Let It Rock
Live bands The 3 Jacks and The Shiverin’ Sheiks bring 1950s-style rock ‘n’ roll to the night. DJ Jungle Rocker and DJ Suzy Q play bopping rockabilly and shuffling rhythm and blues as expert dance tutors Kav Kavanagh and Suzy Q keep the floor moving with jive and stroll lessons.

Tiki Bar
This year The Tiki Bar presents ‘House of Bamboo’. Samba and shake all night in a desert island hut where colourful cocktails are served. Dance to the sounds of Latin loungecore, bossa nova and tribal boogaloo against the backdrop of the River Thames and the London skyline, as seen from the fifth floor of Royal Festival Hall.

DJs Martin Green (The Sound Gallery and Smashing) and Martin Karminsky (Karminsky Experience and Blow Up) take care of the tunes, while host Count Indigo awards prizes to the most agile and inventive castaways in the hula hoop, mambo and limbo competitions.

The Soul Casino
The Soul Casino dance floor reverberates to a string of DJs including Northern Soul Girl Levanna McLean, Dave Edwards, Independent Movement’s Mark Gurney and Wayne Hemingway (he has one helluva record collection!). They play music from a dizzying array of genres including deep funk, rare groove, classic soul, disco and authentic mod and rhythm and blues.

London's Famous NYE Fireworks
As the midnight hour approaches, the party moves outside to an exclusive terrace overlooking the Thames, where, weather permitting*, you can enjoy a prime view of London's world-famous New Year's Eve fireworks away from the crowds.

This year we’re also offering you the chance to view the fireworks* from the city-surveying heights of our Level 5 balcony, alongside just a handful of other guests. If you’re interested, you can select the fireworks add-on for just £10 when booking tickets. You can also use the balcony at other times during the evening. Please note, this offer is strictly limited. NOW SOLD OUT

Food, Glamour and Head-Turning Style
Great food and evocative cocktails are available throughout the building, including at a 1950s-inspired diner cafe. Oh – and don't forget... The dress-up is just as important as the get down, so pick a decade and dress glamorous.

Some intrepid explorers of Royal Festival Hall may discover a brand new club this year – The Ssshhhh Bar, hosted by NatWest, exclusively for NatWest customers. The London Dixieland Jazz Band take centre stage, joined by Señorita Scarlett and The Gatsby Girls. To gain access to this exclusive bar, just flash your NatWest card at the door. Four guests max.
