As part of Southbank Centre's celebration of Benjamin Britten's birth Aurora perform the composer's complete existing documentary film scores alongside the original films.

Step back into 1930s Britain with these vivid portraits dealing with subjects ranging from postage stamps to pacifism, the abolition of the slave trade to the electrification of the London-Portsmouth railway. Each wonderfully made and a fascinating historical document.

Crafted with extreme skill, Britten's music reflects, amplifies and underpins the screen images with scores of rich variety, invention and wit.
