Monday 31 March 2014 - Sunday 6 April 2014

Now in its sixth year, Chorus is a festival that explores and celebrates the power of singing together. At Chorus you will encounter large-scale vocal projects as well as intimate learning opportunities, and find the whole of Southbank Centre transformed by people singing.

This year, Chorus hosts the Simón Bolívar Youth Choir of Venezuela, inspirational young singers who have emerged from the country's revolutionary El Sistema programme. Making the most of their presence, the festival focuses for the first time on the voices of young people.

We also celebrate the return of the Royal Festival Hall organ by featuring the combination of pipes and massed voices, including a performance of Durufle's Requiem with the chance to join in.

There are lots of opportunities to take part, with free warm-up, drop-in and song-sharing sessions held alongside a rich and diverse workshop programme for more intensive music-making. Curated by Southbank Centre's year-round vocal programme, Voicelab, Chorus welcomes everyone.
