Throughout the summer, we celebrate what it means to come together, to be a community and to live in neighbourhoods. We are inviting people share their experiences, talents and energy – some very local to Southbank Centre and some from afar. Every weekend at Festival of Neighbourhood, there’s a host of events, activities, workshops and more, and we want you to join in.
Southbanquet, 31 August – 1 September
Join us for Southbanquet, a feast for 500 to mark the end of summer. Share a delicious meal of ethically sourced food cooked by chef Thomas Hunt, and created from waste food otherwise destined for landfill. Please note this is a ticketed event.
Grow Your Own Ideas, 7- 8 September
In partnership with Bob and Roberta Smith, join us for a weekend packed with events and activities focusing on Do It Yourself activism and creativity inspired by the artist, Bob and Roberta Smith’s installation of flags furling from the rooftops of the Royal Festival Hall. On Sunday the 8th take part, or simply enjoy Voicelab’s grand finale to the summer festival as hundreds of singers take you on a journey around Southbank’s Neighbourhood site as they sing to the flags!
