British performance poet John Cooper Clarke is as vital now as he was in the 70s.

His acerbic, satirical, political and humorous verse, delivered at a rapid pace, resonated with the punk movement. Today his influence can be heard through a wide breadth of popular culture, from the Arctic Monkeys to The Sopranos.

Here John Cooper Clarke is joined by Mike Garry, Luke Wright, Simon Day, appearing as Yorkshire's least famous poet Geoffrey Appleton, and Phill Jupitus as Porky the Poet.
