Jon Hopkins presents a one-off live audio-visual show.
He performs new explorations of tracks from his universally acclaimed 2013 album Immunity alongside music from his three film scores and other collaborations.
Hopkins is joined by long-term collaborator, guitarist and noise-maker Leo Abrahams, and experimental string section Geese, for a new show backed by visuals from Flat-e and Dan Tombs.
A hypnotic night of musical escapism.
‘A dazzling talent’ (MOJO; albums of the year)
'One of 2013’s most inventive and emotional electronic LPs’ (Mixmag; albums of the year)
‘The leftfield LP of 2013’ (NME)
‘With Immunity, he may just have made the dance record of the decade’ (DJ Mag)
'A remarkably visceral, sensual, confident electronic record that stays absorbing from beginning to end, and should finally catapult Hopkins to stardom in his own story' (Pitchfork)
Plus, support comes from Blanck Mass, the solo project of Benjamin John Power (F*** Buttons).
His initial creations were to be studio only and were a collection of beat-less shimmering soundscapes. Interest steadily grew and soon his track, 'Sundowner', was used in the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Ben has since taken Blanck Mass into the live sphere, touring as main support to Sigur Ros and Jon Hopkins and is currently finalising his next LP.
After the show, Letherette play a DJ set in Central Bar. Their beats have been aired via the Ho Tep label, while their debut self-titled album came out on Ninja Tune in 2013.
