Perched amidst a jungle of bells, gongs, cymbals and drums, Marilyn Mazur creates rich and intriguing sounds.

The Danish percussionist has made telling contributions to the music of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Jan Garbarek, and has emerged as a composer and leader whose music travels from softly understated lyricism through mysterious and mesmeric rhythms to outbursts of wild energy. Spirit Cave adds the dimension of the expansive beats and soundscapes of the Norwegian masters of electronica, Jan Bang and Eivind Aarset.

Marilyn Mazur is joined by Eivind Aarset (guitar and electronics) and Nils Petter Molvaer (trumpet and electronics).

'A world of sculpted sound that references echoes of Scandinavia, North Africa, India and the Orient' (Irish Times).
