What Do You See When You Close Your Eyes? is a uniquely collaborative album. It consists of six pieces written by guitarist and composer Moss Freed and performed by his band the Moss Project, as well as six short stories written in response by a selection of acclaimed writers. The combined effect is surprising, enigmatic and magical.

The Moss Project are Moss Freed (Guitar), Marek Dorcik (Drums), George Crowley (Tenor Sax/Bass Clarinet) and Jon Harvey (Bass).

In a special free performance for London Literature Festival, the Moss Project presents a selection of tracks from the album, with guest appearances by authors Lawrence Norfolk, Hanan Al-Shaykh, James Miller and Naomi Alderman.
