Youth Ambassadors

Every year Southbank Centre recruits a team of exceptional 18–25 year olds with their fingers on the cultural pulse to be its Youth Ambassadors.

Our Youth Ambassadors are driven, passionate about making arts accessible to young audiences, and have an interest in charities and arts organisations.

What do our Youth Ambassadors do?

The Ambassadors are paid to attend monthly meetings with staff from our Planning, Marketing and Artistic Programming teams. They workshop ideas for our festival programme (including our Strive Festival for young people, WOW - Women of the World, and Meltdown) – and for the organisation as a whole – at these meetings, and thus are key in helping us shape our youth offer.

What skills and experiences do Youth Ambassadors gain?

Ambassadors learn first-hand how Southbank Centre makes its festival programme. They also have fantastic networking opportunities and ticket exclusives, as well as opportunities to represent Southbank Centre at our events.

How do I become a Youth Ambassador?

We recruit ahead of each September, so look out for openings on our jobs portal

We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates and deaf and disabled people, as they are currently under-represented across our workforce.
