Wednesday, April 19, 2017 - 10:39

Dance music maestros Soulwax, South London grime superstar Giggs and New York City’s Princess Nokia join a genre-busting line-up.

Soulwax will be performing their new album From Dewee - in a live studio set-up featuring a seven-piece band including three drummers on 10 June. Giggs will play the Royal Festival Hall in a night packed with special guests on 12 June and Princess Nokia will be performing her alternative hip-hop style in a show alongside Swedish rapper Yung Lean on 14 June.

Outdoor parties

Other exciting additions include a late-night rave with experimental Atlanta label Awful Records and outdoor parties courtesy of French artist Fakear, an all-day Rinse FM Block Party, a Carnival Party and a Meltdown Mela.

Talks & debates

You will also be able to immerse yourself in a series of talks and debates including a talk with M.I.A. discussing her life and career on 11 June and further events presented in association with CMU, deconstructing the changing nature of the music industry.

This year M.I.A.’s Meltdown promises to bring together emerging and established artists from across the world to create a fusion of global culture from Friday 9 – Sunday 18 June 2017.
