On 8 November we welcome the multi-instrumentalist, producer and BAFTA-winning composer Ólafur Arnalds as he takes over Southbank Centre with OPIA. A celebration of music and film, friendship and collaboration, OPIA has been curated by Arnalds and features a number of his favourite artists including Grandbrothers, Rhye, Poppy Ackroyd, Högni & Ensemble, Hania Rani and Josin.
Ahead of the event Arnalds gave us a taster of what to expect by putting together this special Spotify mixtape featuring a number of artists from his OPIA line-up, as he himself explains.
“In the spirit of collaboration and friendship that's at the heart of OPIA, I've chosen songs by the great artists playing the festivals, and some friends whose work I admire. These are some of the most interesting and inspiring artists I know. I'm very happy to get the opportunity to have so many of them under one roof in November in the first of, hopefully, many more OPIAs to come.”
