Southbank Centre's Book Podcast: backstage at Man Booker 50

The second episode of our monthly literary podcast comes from our recent Man Booker 50 festival, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Man Booker Prize.

In this edition, Southbank Centre’s Senior Programmer for Literature and Spoken Word, Ted Hodgkinson speaks backstage with Golden Man Booker judges Robert McCrum and Kamila Shamsie, and we hear extracts from some of the festival highlights. This includes novelists Alan Hollinghurst and Marlon James discussing how fiction can capture lives on the margins of history, and the moment the winner of the Golden Booker Prize was announced.
