I’m a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham, who’s moved back to the busy city to pursue my career.
Working in the health sector gives me the opportunity to see people from all walks of life. I love seeing art that mirrors the diversity in the patients I see on a daily basis. It is so important for art not only to reach every race, class and ability of people in the world but to also reach and inspire the youth in order to continue the creation of art.
For me being creative and being involved in creativity is very essential. My photography of the black lives matter movement has been featured on blogs like The MOJO. I’ve also written articles for Impact magazine, spanning from fashion trends, event reviews to writing open letters to the media regarding representation of women of colour. I also try to raise awareness through public speaking and have recently spoken at the CSP’s Dyslexia Study Day.
In general I like to fill my time with new experiences, laughter and most importantly food! Forever trying to resist the urge to spend the majority of my pay cheque on clothes and makeup.
