Mutter Plays Beethoven

Part of Classical Season 2019/20

Anne-Sophie Mutter, Khatia Buniatishvili and Pablo Ferrández join the London Philharmonic Orchestra to perform Beethoven’s Triple Concerto.

Take three world-class instrumentalists, bring them together with Beethoven at his most carefree, and the result is – well, judge for yourself as, for one night only, we assemble a ‘super-trio’ of Mutter, Buniatishvili and phenomenal young Spanish cellist Ferrández.

It’s music that’s designed to delight and entertain, and conductor Robin Ticciati follows it with Mahler’s youthful First Symphony, sometimes called the ‘Titan’ – an experience that begins in the silence of the dawn of time itself, and ends with the orchestra (literally) on their feet.

This is going to be big.
