Teachers INSET We Need to Talk About Gender

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Explore how the arts can be used to challenge students’ perceptions of gender identity and equality. Following the success of ours schools programmes in WOW – Women of the World and Being A Man festivals, we are offering a new teacher INSET to help you teach creatively.

Delivered by Play In Progress, a social enterprise which uses creative industry practice to prepare young people for life and work beyond the classroom, this INSET is most suitable for creative and pastoral teachers of students from across Key Stages 3 to 5.

By exploring challenging PSHE subjects through a creative lens, you are given opportunities to experiment with how creativity can be used to create dynamic classroom interactions and inspire young people to embrace new ideas.

Delivered by a qualified teacher and creative learning consultant, you leave this session with classroom-ready resources and ideas on how pastoral and creative subject leaders can work together in interesting, cross-cultural ways that benefit students.
