Dig deep into early country, bluegrass and blues with this musical duo.

Masters of old-time mandolin, clawhammer banjo and guitar, Mike Compton and Joe Newberry perform a medley of traditional songs, instrumentals, ballads and original tunes.

Celebrated mandolinist Mike Compton is well known as one of the real-life Soggy Bottom Boys, performing on the smash hit Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. He has performed and recorded with stars from all genres, including Elvis Costello, Faith Hill, the late Ralph Stanley and John Hartford.

Clawhammer banjo virtuoso Joe Newberry is also a prize-winning guitarist, songwriter and singer who was a guest star of the popular Transatlantic Session live tour. In addition to this duo with Mike, Joe is a frequent guest on the cult radio and internet show, A Prairie Home Companion.
