Friday Tonic: zerOclassikal presents ‘One’

Part of Darbar

Start your evening with a double bill of artists experimenting with new ideas within the Carnatic and Hindustani traditions, in a performance that brings together the best of British South Asian classical talent.

This concert showcasing the intricacies of the two oldest traditions of South Asian classical music explores everything from the unique bass tones and multi-octave sounds of a trio of veenas, to the distinctive gamakas and rich sounds of the sitar and tabla.

Presented as part of Darbar Festival in partnership with zerOclassikal project, whose aim is to support the next generation of British South Asian classical musicians through new commissions, experiments and a platform to stamp their own identity.
