Friday Lunch: Hazel Iris

Part of Friday Lunch

Join this Californian songstress for a special set of quirky folk-inspired indie songs.

With a dark and playful attitude to writing music, her unique sound blends crystalline vocals with folk, traditional instruments and a twist of magic. As a classically trained singer, she studied her craft in Germany. Bridging the gap between the formats of romantic Lieder and contemporary sounds, her songs celebrate the art of storytelling which gives them a sort of theatrical and cinematic feel.

Her debut EP, Misfortunate Tales, was released on Marvellous Records in June 2016.

She is joined on stage by multi-instrumentalist/percussionist Mally Harpaz, composer and accordionist Bartosz Glowacki, classical concert guitarist Andrey Lebedev, and film and tv composer and cellist Matt Constantine.
