Friday Lunch: Whisper Anthem

Part of Friday Lunch

Hear Daniel Tissingh, aka Whisper Anthem, perform songs from his most recent work along with a handful of reinvented pop ballads.

Daniel began his musical journey playing a discarded classical guitar (repaired by a Venezuelan electrician), living in community housing, to the backdrop of radio-pop cheese-fests, Christian metal and everything in between. From here grew the musical work of the London-based, Dutch-Kiwi-Spanish singer songwriter. Produced by long-term collaborator Daniel Moyler, the outfit has self-released a full-length album and an EP which combine pop, folk and indie traditions.

Incorporating songs from his latest work, The Road You Walk, with his take on pop favourites, Whisper Anthem performs as the trio that feature live on the record. This includes Ben Swan on drums and Matt McAllister on bass.
