A Vintage New Year's Eve Party

Part of Wintertime

Usher in the New Year at our annual vintage nightclub spectacular as Royal Festival Hall transforms into five floors of immersive entertainment.

With six pop-up vintage nightclubs, all tastes are catered for with music from the 1920s to the 90s, with swing, rock 'n' roll, soul, disco, house and cabaret all thrown in for good measure. As always there'll be stylish dining, a hair and beauty salon, walkabout entertainment, photo studios and a private terrace overlooking the Thames from which to view London's world-famous NYE fireworks*.

The Style Studio traces some of the legendary disco club nights from the mid-70s through to the most culturally influential and eclectic nightclubs of the early 80s, right up to where we are now. Get moving to everything from 70s funk and disco, to early 80s electro, boogie, rare groove, along with some uber cool jazz and surprises to boot.

Inspired by the golden age of 1930s and 1940s jazz, Miss Rosie & The Moonshyne Runners resurrect the spirit of swing, before Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm set the stage alight with their authentic orchestra.

In between the live music, Sweden's Big Papa Mac spins the vinyl; Hoc and Mark are on hand to guide you through the steps of some light-hearted period party dances, and the dance floor is open to all.

After midnight, The Clore Ballroom transforms into an intimate cabaret club with more live performances, dancing and great music from a bygone era.

Miss Rosie & The Moonshyne Runners
Inspired by the great vocalists from the golden age of jazz, Miss Rosie assembled The Moonshyne Runners to perform a repertoire rooted in the music of the 1930s and 1940s. This sextet brings the bounce back to your steps.

Natty Congeroo & The Flames of Rhythm
Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm play a heady mix of 1920s, 30s and 40s hot jazz, Harlem swing, R 'n' B, gospel, early blues, hepcat jazz and McVoutiness.

Big Papa Mac
Chief scoundrel Big Papa Mac brings vinyl from the 1920s to the 1940s to The Torch Club. He prides himself on selecting only the best music from the vaults, from hot jazz to mambo, swing to boogie-woogie. Come on down and shake your tail feather as much as you like.

Mark & Hoc
This fabulous teaching team specialise in dances from the 1920s to 40s and run regular classes in Bedforshire and Cambridgeshire. They introduce The Torch Club to some of the novelty dances from the period, such as The Lambeth Walk.

Claire Austin aka Voodoo Doll
Voodoo Doll is your hostess for the evening, making sure all runs smoothly and introducing you to all the wonderful entertainment lined up.

This year The Tiki Bar presents House of Bamboo. Shimmy and shake all night in a desert island hut where colourful cocktails are served against the backdrop of the River Thames as seen from the fifth floor of Royal Festival Hall.

Exotica expert Martin Green (The Sound Gallery and Smashing) and groovy guests spin bongo fuelled sambas, mambos and limbos for style conscious castaways.

Dylan Kirk and Italian band Poisonivies and The Steady bring action-packed 1950s and 60s style rock 'n' roll to Let It Rock. DJ Suzy Q and DJ Domino play bopping rockabilly, jiving rhythm & blues and classic rock 'n' roll, whilst our former National and European Jive Champion, Kav Kavanagh, teaches you the moves with his dance partner Suzy Q.

80s and 90s pop, rock and dance anthems, musical bingo, karaoke and dancing with abandon, it's fun, it's silly, and it's absolutely bonkers – with DJ Anna Greenwood and Jess Indeedy.

Jess Indeedy, DJ Helix, and their hilarious dancing grannies deliver an unforgettable NYE edition of Indeedy Musical Bingo. It's like normal bingo, but instead of calling out numbers they play songs! Mark songs off your bingo card as you hear them to win some amazing (and kitsch) prizes.

Party DJ Anna Greenwood in sequins, spangles and bespoke outfits, creates a non-stop whirlwind of disco dancing spectacle alongside.
