Terrorism and Society

Part of For Good or For Ill: How Has Religion Shaped Society?

What is terrorism doing to the fabric of society and religion? Is it turning non-believers against religion? And what about the problems it raises for the believers themselves?

Many religions preach messages of peace, but in recent years religious terrorism has regularly erupted across the world and sent shockwaves through society.

Hear a discussion on these issues featuring:

- Sunny Hundal, an outspoken journalist and commentator on issues of identity and religion. He is a regular contributor to the Independent, and a fortnightly columnist for the Hindustan Times in India.

- Cori Crider, a US lawyer, who joined Reprieve in 2006 on a fellowship to represent Guantánamo prisoners. She was made Director in 2009 and served until July 2016.

Chaired by Anthony Anaxagorou, award-winning poet, short story writer, publisher and poetry educator.
