Buying Sex

Part of Nordic Matters

Learn about the Nordic approach to prostitution and the challenges within these laws.

Norway, Sweden and Iceland all employ the ‘Nordic model’ in regards to prostitution (also known as the Sex Buyer Law), which makes it illegal to buy ‘sexual services’ but not to sell them.

Speakers include Lise Tamm, Director of the Stockholm International Public Prosecution Office; and Sigríður Björk Guðjónsdóttir, Chief of the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police.

Chaired by Rosie Boycott.
