Disability, women, and taking action

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Why does much of the women’s rights movement marginalise disabled women?

A panel of speakers discusses why disability is so often left out of conversations about intersectionality, and surveys the key battlegrounds that
disabled women are fighting on.

Speakers include Lydia XZ Brown, disability rights activist; Magdalena Szarota, Polish disability rights activist; Sarifa Patel of Newham’s Disability Forum; and Simone Aspis, Alliance for Inclusive Education campaigner. Chaired by Michelle Daley of the Sisters of Frida disabled women’s collective.

In partnership with Sisters of Frida.
