THEATREclub presents: The Game

Part of WOW – Women of the World

Explore the act of buying sex, and the subculture of prostitution and sex work with THEATREclub, in a play that’s also a real-life game.

You are invited to witness five men who have never played ‘The Game’. They have no idea what they’re about to do, they won’t be given a script.

They are doing this to be part of an event – a symbolic act – that calls us to consider the rules, language and power structures of prostitution and sex work.

The legal status of prostitution and sex work is a measure of our society and how we legislate makes a statement about our values. The Game gives audiences an insight into a world that sits uncomfortably beneath the surface of our day-to-day lives.

The Game is a radical piece of theatre that needs your participation.

We are looking for men to help in the performance of these lived experiences and testimonies.

You will be needed for one performance on either the 10, 11 or 12 March. The performances are at 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and 8.30pm on Sunday. You will need to arrive a few hours before this.

You don't need to have had experience of performing before. We are looking for men who have a genuine desire to support women and to help tell these stories.

Whilst the play deals with sensitive topics you will not be expected to do anything you are uncomfortable with and will be supported throughout the experience.
