Intersectionality for Beginners: What is it and why should you care?

Part of WOW – Women of the World

'There is no thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives,' wrote African American feminist, womanist and writer Audre Lorde.

So how do we fight sexism without ignoring other issues such as race, disability, sexuality and class?

Come and find out what intersectionality is, and why you should care.

Speakers include: Guppi Bola, social justice organiser; Eleanor Lisney, Sisters of Frida; and Emma Dabiri, broadcaster and academic. With a keynote
from Lydia XZ Brown, disability rights activist.

Chaired by Hannah Azieb Pool.
