Paolo Conte

Part of EFG London Jazz Festival

Take a journey from Buenos Aires dance halls to Louisiana juke joints with Paolo Conte. The Italian jazz singer performs a one-off London concert as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Imagine the voice of Tom Waits and the soul of Cole Porter inhabiting the body of a craggily handsome Italian poet, painter and singer-songwriter.

His music blends jazz and chanson with the powerful sounds of the Big Band era and the vibrant rhythms of the tango. Conte is a composer, lyricist, pianist and lawyer as well as a singer.

No artist I can think of so ingeniously unites elements of jazz music’s past and present. Nothing less than magical *****
