Dance into Alchemy: Odissi Dance

Part of Alchemy

Learn three traditional and contemporary Indian dance styles in this six-week course leading up to Southbank Centre’s Alchemy festival.

Experienced dance instructors teach you basic and intermediate skills in Bollywood, odissi, and kathak dance.

Two weeks are dedicated to each dance style. In your first session, learn the basics of each dance form before taking your moves to the next level in the second, intermediate session.

To cap off the course you have the opportunity to show off your moves at the Social Dances event as part of the Alchemy festival.

Try all three dance forms over a six-week period:
Kathak: Monday 17 & 24 April
Odissi: Monday 1 & 8 May
Bollywood: Monday 15 & 22 May

Or, if you just want to hone your odissi dance skills, you can book in for the two-week odissi dance style session below. These two sessions are led by renowned odissi instructor Katie Ryan.
