Music of Today: Vito Zuraj

Part of Classical Season 2017/18

We are proud to present the first major UK showcase of original music by Slovenian composer Vito Zuraj.
The evening opens with Aftertouch, a work full of fast-paced slides and sudden shifts from high to low which create a fantastical sound world, and closes with a world premiere of Ubuquity, a semi-theatrical work for soprano and ensemble that takes inspiration from the character of King Ubu from the modernist play of the same name by French author Alfred Jarry.
