Did you know that Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden are in the top 5 of the world’s best countries in which to be a woman?

Six speakers from Nordic countries at the forefront of social change invite you to hear short talks and stories on a wide range of subjects. WOW Bites is going Nordic as part of Southbank Centre’s Nordic Matters.

Speakers include Peter Tai Christensen, Union representative, on how the Swedish mansplaining
hotline caused a domestic stir and went on to take the international media by storm; Dr Elina Berglund Scherwitzl – from physics to fertility, a curvy road to success; from a secret network to an umbrella organisation, Mia Hanström from the Åland Islands describes creating an autonomous feminist zone in the Baltic Sea; Anu Partanen on her book The Nordic Theory of Everything: In Search of a Better Life; The Nutty Tarts – Katriina Haikala and Vilma Metteri on Monokini 2.0 Who says you need two?, what happens when art and social impact come together.
