Rafi Peer Sufi Drummer

Part of Alchemy

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see Shaukat Dholiya, one of Pakistan’s master shrine drummers.

Shaukat Dholiya has represented Sufi shrine drumming internationally including performances in Norway and China.

He started playing the dhol aged just five. Hailing from a family of dholiyas he started playing in the shrine of Jinda Wali Sarkar when he was just 15.

Through his ecstatic and ritualistic tributes at the Shrine of Baba Shah Jamal, Shaukat is one of Pakistan’s most revered dhol drummers.
