Friday Tonic: Parekh & Singh

Part of Alchemy

Parekh & Singh are a dreamy indie pop duo from the east Indian city of Kolkata, recently tipped as musicians to watch by The Guardian. Now you can hear them perform live at this special Alchemy edition of Friday Tonic.

Consisting of Nischay Parekh and Jivraj Singh, the band released their debut album Ocean in 2016 on Peacefrog, a British indie label.

They fuse neo-psychedelic music and folk, and play with a range of instruments from guitars, synths and drums.

Parekh & Singh met at school but formed the band later on in life, having met through friends. The duo have been making music for over six years, but recently signed a recording contract and released their debut single,‘I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll’, last year.
