Alexander Ardakov Piano Recital: Great Romantic Pieces

Part of Classical Season 2018/19

Alexander Ardakov plays some immortal romantic masterpieces alongside Beethoven’s Variations, to mark the Queen’s 92nd birthday.

Alexander’s move to Britain and to Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where he has taught since 1991, have helped him to develop as an international recitalist of exceptional versatility and musical integrity. Among his notable recordings are those for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM.

Alexander's audiences are swept up in the sensitivity, intensity and passion of his playing. He feels at home not only with the Russian classics but also with composers of the romantic period such as Chopin, Liszt and Schumann. His extensive discography includes Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto with the royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Alexander Gibson.
