Young Fathers

Part of Grace Jones' Meltdown

The award-winning trio, Young Fathers, bring their raw energy and unique sound to a show especially created for Meltdown.

Multi-nominated winners of the Scottish Album of the Year award, along with the Mercury Prize for DEAD in 2014, Young Fathers have awed audiences around the world with their energetic live show.

Now they perform tracks from their critically praised albums and shake the foundations of Royal Festival Hall.

From 8pm, Young Fathers are joined on the bill by Farai and Iklan ft Law Holt. Zimbabwe-born and London-bred poet and singer Farai fuses electronic beats, neon sounds and synth chords in tracks that are part-hypnotic, part-manifesto. While vocalist Law Holt and producer Timothy London’s new project mixes ambient sounds with a trip-hop edge over electronic beats.

The show is followed by a free after party on The Clore Ballroom with NTS Radio DJs, Born Cheating and Shy One (Touching Bass), and bars open til late.
