See South London-based musician Klein, an artist whose neoteric vision has seen her quickly become one of the UK’s most intriguing and unpinnable producers and performers.
Her often playful and restive approach to composition is instantly alluring featuring samples of obscure Nigerian b-movies which clatter into jagged beats. Distant piano loops lurk in the haze while beguiling vocals fade in and out of the sensory world she has created.
For this special performance as part of New Music Biennial, Klein presents a coming-of-age musical piece centred around youth, love and death. It intersects modern operatic undertones with traditional Shakespearean tragedies.
