I AM Songwriter Abimaro Gunnell

Part of Chorus

Are you a budding songwriter? Want to hear about different career paths open to singers who also want to write their own material?

Join singer songwriter Abimaro Gunnell for I Am..., our monthly series giving young creatives access to leading artists, career stories and skills workshops.

Abimaro’s lyrical craftsmanship and delicate melodies have seen her previously lend her vocals to the likes of Zero 7 & The Cinematic Orchestra, as well as collaborating with the band, Abimaro & the Free. She is now embarking on a solo journey.

Hosted by Southbank Centre’s youth ambassadors, hear Abimaro’s unique career story and get a chance to ask her questions and advice about working in the music industry.

Then take part in a practical group workshop where you devise lyrics, melody and learn the craft of bringing the two together. This workshop caters to all skill levels but you must be willing to share ideas and get stuck in, to get the best out of it.
