Friday Lunch: Harmonise

Part of Friday Lunch

Witness an interactive, energetic and uplifting performance by refugee and local children encompassing Syrian love songs and Roma feasts.

If you had to leave everything behind and take only your memories, which ones would you choose? Join Southbank Centre’s Changemakers’ Music Action International for Harmonise, a performance of songs, stories and spoken word by refugee and local children.

A team of international musicians performs with children from Torriano and Salusbury Primary Schools. The music they’ve created expresses the beauty and conflict of countries at war, and explores how refugees who have lived through these horrors can show us how to create more peaceful and happy communities.

Guardian Charity Award winners Music Action International transform lives affected by war, torture and armed conflict through structured, psycho-social music programmes.

Refugee Week at Southbank Centre is celebrated in partnership with Counterpoints Arts
