New Nordic Fiction: Unflinching Reality

Part of World on the Brink

How are writers from the North grappling with a changing world? Writers from across the Nordic nations have taken radical approaches to capturing the complexities of modern life.

Meet the Nordic writers who are redefining the real and offering essential insights into our times, including Danish author Christina Hesselholdt, published in Dalkey Archive’s Best European Fiction 2013 and novel Companions with Fitzcarraldo Editions. Also joining is Tore Renberg, award-winning bestselling Norwegian writer and author of See You Tommorow.

The event is chaired by Hannah Trevarthen, Events and Development Manager at English PEN.
